Trees in Vastu Shastra

VRKSHA VAASTU
(Trees, Shrubs and Herbs Prescribed in Sthapatya Ved)


According to Sthapatya Ved it is Imperative to know about other various valuable effects to the environment given out by various types of trees, plants, shrubs and herbs etc. This has been studied methodically and their effects to human physiology have been stated. This is effectively used in planning a garden around a home, planting trees around a village, public gardens and tree in the location of their use.
         Gardens in a home should be on the side or inside. The plants useful for indoor and outdoor (garden) are discussed here.

Indoor Plants

Champa, kund, chameli, bela, nirwalika (narmudi), jati, ketki (yellow flower), white rose, karni, vasaul lata, jambir, badri, pooj, madhup, and jambu.

Outdoor Plants

(Gardens)--- champak, asoka, punnag, mango, tilak, shatpatika, bakul, dhattur, kamdal, shala, tal, taval, mamvas (agar), mandar (madar), pandrum (panja), mahua, kadali, chandan (sandal wood), vat, ashwath, pathya, siva (sami), imili (tamarind), aloka, kadamb, nimb, padim, karpur, aguru, kumshuk, hayasipu (vanell), nagalata (nagnal), beejnimrat (bijoor), tintuki (ebony), and langli (jalpipal).
